How to change the web browser's search engine (Opera)

If you use the Opera web browser, you can change the search engine through the Settings. To do so, feel free to follow the steps below:

1. Click the Menu icon in the top-left corner of the window and select Settings;
   

   
   
   

2. Click on the Basic tab; 
3. Click on the dropdown button next to Search engine used in the address bar, under Search, and select one of the offered search engines;
   
   

   
   
   

4. Open a new tab and enter a search term to validate that the search engine has been changed.
   
   

Note: If  the search engine you desire is not on the list, click the Manage search engines button and click on the Add button to add the new search engine.

In order to change the default search engine of the Opera browser installed on your smartphone or tablet, feel free to follow the steps below:

1. Tap on the three-line icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen and select Settings;
   

   
   
   

2. Tap on the Default Search Engine option and select the search engine you wish to use;
   

    
   
   

3. Tap on the back button, and verify that your preferences have been saved.
