Close and reopen the web browser
Maybe a temporary browser-related issue prevents you from accessing the webpage and is responsible for the ERR_CONNECTION_RESET error message. In order to fix this error, try to close the web browser and reopen it again.
Sometimes, incorrect proxy settings can be the causers of ERR_CONNECTION_RESET and disabling them is all you need to do, in order to resolve the issue. To disable them, feel free to follow the steps below:
Click on the apple logo in the upper left-hand corner of the screen and select System Preferences;
Click on Network;
Select the network you are connected to and click on Advanced;
Go to the Proxies tab and then uncheck the check boxes under Select a protocol to configure;
Configure the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit)
Setting the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit - you can find more information about it on searchnetworking.techtarget.com) may help you fix the ERR_CONNECTION_RESET error. To set it, follow the steps below:
Open the start menu, type Network and Sharing Center and click on it once it appears in the search results;
Write down the name of your Wi-Fi/Ethernet adapter you are connected to (don't write the name of the router/ISP);
Open the start menu, type command prompt, right-click on it once it appears in the search results and select Run as administrator;
Type the command below and press enter:
netsh interface IPv4 set subinterface “network adapter name you wrote in step 2” mtu=1472 store=persitent
Close the command prompt, restart the browser and check if you still get the error message.
