How to fix The message cannot be sent right now error in Outlook

To prevent spam and creating false email addresses, every email address created needs to be verified. You wouldn't be able to send emails if your email account is not verified.

Ensure that your account has been verified, by going to the Settings section of Outlook, or by clicking on a verify button of a dialogue box that will appear on your screen.

If you try to send an email from your Outlook email account, and you receive the "The message cannot be sent right now" error, close and reopen the web browser. After you open the web browser again, try sending the email.

To prevent spam, email providers set a limit of emails a user can send daily. You wouldn't be able to send an email if you have exceeded the daily limit for sending emails ranging around 300 emails per day, to up to 100 recipients, provided that you use the Personal Outlook plan. It is possible that the current firewall and antivirus settings on your computer block Outlook from sending emails. As a test, try disabling the firewall and antivirus settings, and send an email afterwards. If you successfully sent the email, access the firewall and the antivirus and see how they are configured.

To disable the Windows Firewall:

1. Go to the start menu and type Windows Firewall;
2. Click on Windows Firewall and then Turn Windows Firewall on or off;
3. Click on Turn off Windows Firewall (not recommended) under Private and Public networks.
   
   

To enable the Windows Firewall:

1. Go to the start menu and type Windows Firewall;
2. Click on Windows Firewall and then Turn Windows Firewall on or off;
3. Click on Turn on Windows Firewall for both Private and Public networks.
   
   

If you receive the "The message cannot be sent right now" error, it is possible that the current antivirus settings on your Mac prevent Outlook from sending emails. To test this, disable the antivirus settings, and try sending an email afterwards. If you managed to send the email successfully, open the antivirus settings and see how they are configured.

If the antivirus settings require adjusting, it's best for you to check the help guides so that you are absolutely sure what each setting of the antivirus does. You can find the guides in the antivirus software's help tab, or on the website of the antivirus developer company.

In order for an email exchange to take place, both the sender and the recipient should have an email. Maybe the contact you try to send an email to doesn't have an email address associated with it (maybe you have deleted the email address by mistake).

Check the contact's details, and make sure it has an email address associated with it. Then, try sending the email.

Make sure that you always have the latest version of your web browser installed, because the latest version contains bug fixes to many issues, with one of them possibly being the one that prevents you from sending emails via Outlook. Check if there is an update available for your browser and update to it.

The purpose of the cache and cookies is to make our browsing experience faster, i.e. not to open a website all over again, if we visit it frequently. Thanks to them, we have an opportunity to access websites without logging in every time we open them. It's possible that the reason for this error in Outlook are corrupt cookies and cache files, which have accumulated in your web browser. 

As a way to fix this error code, you need to clear the cache files, the cookies and unnecessary data. Once cleared, they will be replaced with "fresh" cookies and data, the next time you open the website.

Another reason behind this issue may be an email alias you have been using. An alias is an additional email address associated with your Outlook account through which you can send emails (e.g. instead of you buying an ice-cream for your friend, you give money to your sister and ask her to buy the ice-cream and give it to your friend).
