0(6)0(0)Microsoft released a tool designed to fix issues with installing and uninstalling software. All you need to do is to download it from Microsoft's website, install it and follow the instructions.

Stop the app in the Task Manager and uninstall it
0(3)0(0)Maybe you can't uninstall the program because it's running in the background. All you need to do is to close the program in the Task Manager and then uninstall it.
To close the program:
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc

Select the program you wish to close (usually the one whose Status is Not Responding) -> Click End Task

Click the X icon in the top-right corner to close the Task Manager
If the above-mentioned method didn't work:-
- Right-click the program and select Go to Process -> Click End Process (or End Task on Windows 8/8.1 or Windows 10) -> Click End Process again to confirm
- Right-click the program and select Go to Process -> Click End Process (or End Task on Windows 8/8.1 or Windows 10) -> Click End Process again to confirm
Note: The procedure is the same if you use Windows 8(.1) or 10, only the user interface of the Task Manager is different.

Install the latest version of the program and uninstall it
0(2)0(0)Maybe the program didn't install well in the first place, or a virus damaged its files. To uninstall it, download the latest version of the program and install it, after which, you should be able to uninstall the program.

Uninstall the program via an Uninstaller program

Popular uninstaller programs include Advanced Uninstaller PRO, iObit Uninstaller, Ccleaner. Download one of them from the official website, install it and follow the on-screen instructions.
