How to fix ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED (Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS) (Windows)

Maybe a misconfigured firewall is the reason why you get this error message. Try disabling it temporarily and check if you can access the website. Don't forget to reenable the firewall afterwards, because it protects you from external threats.

The Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol is a suite of communication protocols used to interconnect network devices on the Internet (more info on Searchnetworking). Sometimes, resetting this protocol is all you need to do, to fix the ERR_NETWORK_CLOSED error.

To reset the TCP/IP settings, follow the steps below:

1. Go to the start menu and type command prompt or CMD;
2. Once it appears in the search results, right-click on it and select Run as Administrator;
   * Enter the administrator's password, if prompted.
3. Once the Command Prompt opens, type the following commands in the same order as they are written here, and press the Enter key, once you write each of them (write the first command and press Enter, then write the second one and press Enter):
   
   netsh winsock reset
   netsh int ip reset
   
   
4. Close the command prompt and restart the computer.
   
   

Note: If you use a static IP address you’ll have to set it again once your computer turns on. If you don't know how or whether your IP address is static or dynamic, contact the Internet provider you are subscribed to.
