The aim of these solutions is to show you how to find your computer's model number (so that you can download the appropriate drivers), serial number or service tag (so that you can report a problem with your device to the manufacturer) and the IMEI number (so that you can check whether your device is original or fake, to help the police locate your lost or stolen device as quickly as possible, etc.).
Every device you buy, has a manual with it. The manual contains the technical details of the device and the model and the serial numbers.
Have a close look at the manual and you should be able to find your device's model number and the serial number quickly. Usually they are on the cover page.
The mobile device's name is written on the front side of the device, under the earpiece. However, that is not the case with the model number.
To find the model number, go to Settings -> Scroll down and tap About device -> Your device's model number is written under Model number
Note: Every device has its own unique number known as IMEI number. It can help the police locate a stolen device and also it can help you find out whether the device you want to purchase is original or a copy, and whether it is stolen or not.
To find your device's IMEI number, dial *#06# using the keypad, or tap Status in the About phone section (and tap IMEI information)
The model number, along with the IMEI and the serial number is engraved on the back case of the iOS device, near the bottom.
Note: The MEID number is the first 14 digits of the IMEI

The model number and IMEI number are usually written down under the device's battery, provided that it's a removable one (can be removed by the user).
Turn off the mobile device and remove the back cover gently. Once you remove the cover, remove the battery. Under the battery you should see the model number and the IMEI.
You can also find your model number on the SIM tray, only if you have an original iOS device.
