The aim of these solutions is to show you how to find your computer's model number (so that you can download the appropriate drivers), serial number or service tag (so that you can report a problem with your device to the manufacturer) and the IMEI number (so that you can check whether your device is original or fake, to help the police locate your lost or stolen device as quickly as possible, etc.).
The model number, along with the IMEI and the serial number is engraved on the back case of the iOS device, near the bottom.
Note: The MEID number is the first 14 digits of the IMEI
To find the model number, go to Settings -> General-> About. Your device's model number is written under Model number
Note: Every device has its own unique number known as IMEI number. It can help the police locate a stolen device and also it can help you find out whether the device you want to purchase is original or a copy, and whether it is stolen or not.
Every device you buy, has a manual with it. The manual contains the technical details of the device and the model and the serial numbers.
Have a close look at the manual and you should be able to find your device's model number and the serial number quickly. Usually they are on the cover page.
You can also find your model number on the SIM tray, only if you have an original iOS device.
