Sometimes downloading applications from Google Play(store) takes a long time as result of a problem with the synchronization settings. If they are correct (if you haven't changed the password of the Google account you use to synchronize your mobile device with), all you need to do is to refresh them.

To refresh the data synchronization settings:

Settings -> Accounts & Sync -> Background data -> Uncheck the box and then recheck it. Restart the downloads
