The 2017 version of the Microsoft Surface Pro is a stylish convertible featuring a passively cooled Intel Core i5-7300U (15W) instead of the usual Intel core m series, making it one of the most powerful silent laptops in the market! The cameras are very good and support Windows Hello and the touchscreen is bright, with high contrast and excellent color coverage.

The battery life is impressive! It easily beats the older Surface Pro 4 with Intel Core m3 (only 4.5W) and is proof that Microsoft can even beat Apple in power management optimizations.

The HP Elite x2 1012 G2 is HP Inc.'s current flagship detachable for businesses. The Aspire 3 A315-21 is a simple office laptop that can easily handle everyday tasks.

The SSD enables the system to run quickly. There is no shortage of storage space, given that the SSD is accompanied by a 1 TB 2.5-inch hard drive! The SSD + Hard Drive combo is an extremely rare thing in the Cloudbook world and is usually mostly present in high-end gaming laptops. The keyboard is reasonably good and fulfills all the requirements for home use.

The matte 15.6-inch display will not win any prizes. It is dark, has poor contrast, and it does not provide stable viewing angles, but at least it's responsive.

For 308$, this basic laptop is quite a good choice and, thanks to its AMD A6-9220 APU, has a slightly better performance than Intel's equivalently priced Celeron/Pentium based solutions.

The EliteBook x360 1020 G2 is a great example of the merging between sleek consumer designs and feature-heavy business configurations. It's inarguably faster and thinner than older the 1020 G1, but not without some cutbacks that longtime EliteBook owners may lament like the lack of docking station, TrackPoint or ports selection.

The jump from the 4.5W Intel Core M5-5Y75 to the more powerful 15W Intel Core i7-7600U (at this time the most powerful dual core mobile Intel Processor to date) is one if not the main benefit of this new revision.   

The EliteBook x360 1020 G2 has also display features found on no other business notebook of its size! It even includes the option for a bright 120 Hz 700 nit panel. HP SureView (Which dims the screen to other people passing by to keep the user's work safe from unwanted viewers) is the other exclusive feature but, sadly, there are some strange characteristics regarding brightness at certain viewing angles and a slightly grainy glossy display. Nonetheless, users who are accustomed to carrying dongles and adapters can equally exploit the benefits of both laptop and tablet mode and will not be disappointed with this admittedly attractive business machine.

The Asus K501 is a great 15.6" laptop suitable for gamers and multimedia fan alike. This little fanless 2-In-1 Convertible, with its quad core atom processor, is more than enough for all your basic computing needs, but sadly, the GPU doesn't have enough horsepower for games more complex than the ones in the Windows Store. The Acer Aspire Switch 10V is one of the few Basic 2-In-1 Convertible to have a secondary 500GB traditional Hard Drive storage in the keyboard Dock other than the usual 32GB of fast eMMC SSD memory.

• Slight fluctuating CPU performance during heavy gaming load due to the strict power consumption limit, but unfortunately this has to be expected since this laptop uses an ULV type (15W CPU+GPU shared) CPU

• Very limited upgrade options and lack of easy-to-open maintenance hatch. This is a common drawback of this category (Ultrabooks). The M.2 2280 SSD Storage can be upgraded with a little technical knowledge though
