The 2017 version of the Microsoft Surface Pro is a stylish convertible featuring a passively cooled Intel Core i5-7300U (15W) instead of the usual Intel core m series, making it one of the most powerful silent laptops in the market! The cameras are very good and support Windows Hello and the touchscreen is bright, with high contrast and excellent color coverage.

The HP Elite x2 1012 G2 is HP Inc.'s current flagship detachable for businesses. The Aspire 3 A315-21 is a simple office laptop that can easily handle everyday tasks.

The SSD enables the system to run quickly. There is no shortage of storage space, given that the SSD is accompanied by a 1 TB 2.5-inch hard drive! The SSD + Hard Drive combo is an extremely rare thing in the Cloudbook world and is usually mostly present in high-end gaming laptops. The keyboard is reasonably good and fulfills all the requirements for home use.

The matte 15.6-inch display will not win any prizes. It is dark, has poor contrast, and it does not provide stable viewing angles, but at least it's responsive.

For 308$, this basic laptop is quite a good choice and, thanks to its AMD A6-9220 APU, has a slightly better performance than Intel's equivalently priced Celeron/Pentium based solutions.

The Asus K501 is a great 15.6" laptop suitable for gamers and multimedia fan alike. The AMD based HP Pavilion lineup has just been refreshed with the latest AMD "Bristol Ridge" processors! The newly released HP ProBook 640 G3 features the latest 7th gen Intel core i5 processor and thus its processing power and graphic performance are much improved if compared to the 2016 ProBook 640 G2. Other than this, nothing else changed, and the HP Probook 640 still remains one of the best (if not the best) upper mid-range business laptops. Small & Medium Enterprise users will find a powerful little office machine. The only serious drawback may be the lack of a Smart Card reader, if that's your case and you still need a business laptop under 14" it might be better for you to pay twice more for the Lenovo ThinkPad 13's main rival the HP Elitebook 820 G4.

The HP Elitebook 840 G4 is much probably one of the best 14" enterprise notebooks available as of early 2017! This PC packs in flawless build quality, excellent performance thanks to its 7th gen Intel Core i5-7200U and a blazing fast NVMe SSD (Solid State Drive) storage, input devices that are optimal for prolific typists, ultra-long battery life (more than 19 hours in idle!!) and excellent expandability. The HP Elitebook 840 G4 has no real flaws, apart from the relatively unimpressive display.
