  1. Reset Windows Vista password using a bootable CD/USB

    Check the solutions on how to make a bootabile CD/USB. 
    Check the solutions on how to make a CD-Drive/USB be a primary boot device.

    Once you've made a bootabile CD/USB with Windows XP on it, put it in your computer. Reboot the computer and then press any key for it to boot.

    1. The Windows Vista intallation window will appear, click Next. 
    2. On the next screen, select Repair your computer found in the bottom left corner.
    3. System Recovery Options screen will pop up, select Microsoft Windows Vista and select Next.
    4. Select the Command Prompt option in the System Recovery Options menu.
    5. Type "copy c:\windows\system32\utilman.exe c:\" press Enter.
    6. Type "copy c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe c:\windows\system32\utilman.exe", press Enter.
    7. Type "y" and press Enter.
    8. Remove the installation disk and reboot the PC.
    9. When the computer turns on and the password filed is waiting to be filled, select the Accessibility button in the bottom left corner of the screen. The Command Prompt will open.
    10. Type "net user YourUsername YourPassword" (replace those two with: the username of the user you want to change the password to and your new password).
    11. That's it, your password is reset and you can log in.
