Click the Apple icon -> System Preferences
Select Network
Select the network you want to modify (you are connected to) -> Click Advanced
*If the lock icon in the lower left corner of the window is locked, click it to unlock it, and when prompted to authenticate, enter your password
Select the DNS tab
Click "+" to add (or "-" to remove) DNS server addresses in the lower left corner (make sure to write down the already existing addresses before deleting them)
Replace the addresses (if any) with the IP addresses of the Google DNS servers (which are one of the most reliable):
IPv4: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
IPv6: 2001:4860:4860::8888 and 2001:4860:4860::8844
Click OK to apply the changes and restart the connection you selected in step 3 (disconnect and reconnect to it)
Test if the connection is working properly (click here to learn how to test the connection)
Repeat the same procedure for other network connections you want to modify.
