What is error 52? How to fix it?

iTunes error 52 appears when you try to restore your iPhone, iPod, or iPod touch, but for some reason the restoration process fails.

The most common reasons for this error are:

  • Corrupt iTunes files;
  • Malicious software;
  • Damaged lightning cable;
  • Damaged USB port on your computer;
  • Damaged lightning port on your iOS device.
