What is iPod touch/iPad/iPhone error 4013? Why does it occur and how to fix it?
iTunes error 4013 appears when you try to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch through your computer, using iTunes, and the restoring process failed. Mainly, it appears because of issues with the connection between your computer and your iOS device.

Consider restoring your device from DFU (Device Firmware Update) mode, if none of the other solutions to fix this iTunes error worked, as it involves data loss. Use the DFU mode only if you are absolutely sure that there is nothing wrong with your USB lightning cable and the computer.
Follow the steps below to access the DFU mode and restore your device:
Note: If you use a laptop, make sure to plug it in the power adapter first, as interrupting the restoring process is not advised and can be dangerous for your device.
Over time, and if we use it more frequently, the USB cable grows weaker and weaker. Even though you can make it last longer, by not bending the cable, or unplugging it in the wrong way, by pulling the cable, you can just delay the inevitable.
